About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Workers Compensation Claims Assurance Manager to lead injury recovery and compensation services for a diverse not-for-profit workforce. Your role will ensure compliance with legislative requirements, drive consistent claims management, and support effective injury recovery and return-to-work programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:
  • Lead and develop a specialist team, ensuring high-quality injury recovery and compensation services.
  • Provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
  • Set clear goals and performance metrics, fostering accountability and inclusion.
Claims Management and Service Delivery:
  • Oversee complex injury recovery and claims processes for employees and volunteers.
  • Ensure accurate claims cost estimation and timely payments.
  • Manage permanent impairment and dependency claims, providing strategic advice.
  • Coordinate actuarial assessments with accurate data.
Return to Work and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Develop strategies for safe and sustainable return-to-work programs.
  • Maintain relationships with external agents to meet service-level requirements.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on injury recovery processes.
Continuous Improvement and Reporting:
  • Innovate internal processes for better decision-making and service delivery.
  • Analyse claims data and provide insights for process improvements.
  • Deliver timely and accurate data for organisational reporting.
Key Attributes and Experience:
  • Proven experience in claims management or injury recovery.
  • Strong leadership skills with team management experience.
  • In-depth understanding of compensation and claims management legislation.
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
