We are seeking an experienced and strategic Workers Compensation Claims Assurance Manager to lead injury recovery and compensation services for a diverse not-for-profit workforce. Your role will ensure compliance with legislative requirements, drive consistent claims management, and support effective injury recovery and return-to-work programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and develop a specialist team, ensuring high-quality injury recovery and compensation services.
- Provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Set clear goals and performance metrics, fostering accountability and inclusion.
- Oversee complex injury recovery and claims processes for employees and volunteers.
- Ensure accurate claims cost estimation and timely payments.
- Manage permanent impairment and dependency claims, providing strategic advice.
- Coordinate actuarial assessments with accurate data.
- Develop strategies for safe and sustainable return-to-work programs.
- Maintain relationships with external agents to meet service-level requirements.
- Educate internal stakeholders on injury recovery processes.
- Innovate internal processes for better decision-making and service delivery.
- Analyse claims data and provide insights for process improvements.
- Deliver timely and accurate data for organisational reporting.
- Proven experience in claims management or injury recovery.
- Strong leadership skills with team management experience.
