About the Company:
Our client is a leading organisation in the automotive industry, committed to the health, safety, and well-being of their employees and customers. They strive to create a safe and supportive workplace through comprehensive health and safety programs.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Health and Wellbeing Specialist to join the team.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Specialist Knowledge & Advice: Provide contemporary specialist knowledge and advice on all aspects of occupational health, psychosocial risks, workplace rehabilitation, workers compensation, and return-to-work processes.
  • Standards & Guidelines Development: Develop health and wellbeing standards, guidelines, tools, and templates aligned to industry standards and codes in consultation with managers and key stakeholders to ensure business relevance and effectiveness.
  • Program Implementation: Develop and implement the organisation's Health and Wellbeing Program and initiatives to ensure compliance with legislative obligations and the delivery of improved health and wellbeing practices and performance.
  • Service Provider Management: Manage and ensure appropriate allied health service providers and internal support networks (e.g., First Aid Officers, Contact Officers) for effective delivery of health and wellbeing services.
  • Fitness-for-Work & Injury Management: Oversee the company’s fitness-for-work and injury and rehabilitation management activities, ensuring appropriate processes and management of workers.
  • Audits & Risk Assessments: Conduct reviews, audits, and risk assessments based on the health risk profile of the business to ensure legislative, corporate, and standard health practice compliance.
  • Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver health and wellbeing training and awareness activities as required.
Skills and Experience:
  • Occupational Health Risk advisory support and management within high-risk industries.
  • Applied working knowledge of Worker's Compensation legislation and insurance schemes across Australia and New Zealand.
  • Management of allied health service providers to agreed service level agreements and contracts.
  • Development and implementation of health risk strategies, including but not limited to psychosocial, drug and alcohol, health and hygiene, and proactive injury mitigation.
  • Change and project management.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Minimum of 7 years in similar roles.

  • Automotive (plus)
Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or an Allied Health discipline.
  • Formal qualifications in workplace rehabilitation and return to work.
