We are looking for a Psychosocial Specialist to join our client's Work Health and Safety (WHS) team for a 6-month contract. This role focuses on managing psychosocial hazards, ensuring compliance with health and safety obligations, and delivering practical solutions to enhance safety and wellbeing across the organisation.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop plans to identify and mitigate psychosocial hazards.
- Collaborate to reduce physical and psychological harm.
- Review and improve policies and procedures.
- Support incident debriefing processes.
- Analyse data to identify trends and develop preventative measures.
- Work on audits, evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Build relationships to ensure a consistent approach to psychosocial hazard management.
- Deliver evidence-based training on managing occupational violence risks.
- Stay updated on best practices in psychosocial hazard management.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and standards.
You are a proactive professional with expertise in WHS, passionate about creating safe and supportive workplaces and engaging stakeholders to drive positive change.
- Tertiary qualification in WHS or related field.
- 3+ years of experience addressing psychosocial hazards (healthcare sector preferred).
- Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and risk management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven project management experience.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (preferred).
- Qualifications in psychology or related discipline (highly desirable).
- Familiarity with the Healthcare/Aged Care sector (advantageous).
- Willingness to travel within Victoria and occasionally interstate.
