About the Role
Are you an accomplished Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional with a strong background in Transport, Logistics, and Warehousing? Our client is searching for a seasoned Regional HSE Manager to join their Sydney team. This role calls for an individual with a proven history of successfully implementing robust HSE strategies and programs in similar contexts.

Some of your duties will include:
  • Develop and implement effective site HSE plans
  • Ensure adherence to relevant HSE legislation and standards
  • Spearhead the enhancement of HSE performance by identifying and managing risks
  • Offer adept leadership and guidance to stakeholders at all levels
  • Execute audits and inspections, proactively addressing potential hazards
  • Oversee comprehensive incident investigations, including root cause analyses and the execution of corrective actions
  • Conduct HSE training programs to enhance awareness and compliance
  • Foster robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor and present HSE performance metrics in regular reports
  • Act as a catalyst for the communication and promotion of the Company's HSE strategic plan. Assist site management in facilitating HSE consultation processes
  • Active participation and contribution to HSE Meetings and Toolbox Meetings
  • Perform HSE system and compliance audits
To be great in this role you:
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in HSE roles, with a strong focus on warehousing and logistics
  • Proficiency in conducting audits and devising corrective action plans
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation, including AS4801, ISO45001, and ISO14001
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, showcasing the ability to craft high-quality reports
  • Familiarity with incident investigation techniques like ICAM or equivalent methodologies
  • Capacity to collaborate efficiently with a range of stakeholders
Qualifications – Education and/or professional
  • Min. Cert IV Workplace Health and Safety
  • Internal Auditor Qualifications (desirable)
  • ICAM (desirable)
