About the Role:
We are searching for a passionate and experienced Safety professional to play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of company employees and compliance with all relevant safety requirements. You will be based at and supporting the Port Melbourne site. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and implementation of comprehensive health and safety plans across the site.
  • Foster a strong "Safety First" culture through training, awareness programs, and active engagement.
  • Conduct risk assessments, monitor compliance, and ensure adherence to policies and legislation.
  • Investigate incidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor activities to maintain ISO 45001 certification.
  • Collaborate with Managers to address safety concerns.
  • Analyse data and report safety KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
  • Prior experience in safety management, ideally in a blue-collar and unionised environment.
  • Proven ability to develop policies, procedures, training materials, and other safety documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and collaboration with colleagues and the team.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant safety legislation and procedures.
  • Experience delivering on-site safety training to all levels of the organisation.
  • Qualifications in OHS, ICAM Lead investigation, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and Lead Auditor in ISO 45001.
