Senior Safety Advisor

• Eastern Suburbs. Single site.
• 5:2 roster | Days & nights + 15% night shift uplift
• Major Tier 1 project

This is a boots-on-the-ground role for a safety professional who enjoys being out in the field, working closely with construction teams and making a genuine impact on site safety.

The project provides exposure to underground works, tunnelling, shaft works, ground excavation and above-ground civil construction activities within a complex Tier 1 environment. You’ll spend approximately 70% of your time in the field, working alongside Supervisors, Engineers, HSRs and contractors.

The Role

• Provide practical, hands-on safety support across site
• Support tunnelling, underground, excavation and civil works
• Conduct inspections, safety interactions and audits
• Review SWMS and verify critical risk controls
• Support pre-starts, toolbox talks and high-risk activities
• Manage corrective actions and safety compliance
• Support incident investigations and emergency response
• Build strong relationships with site teams and contractors

About You

• 5+ years' construction safety experience
• Experience on Tier 1, major civil or infrastructure projects
• Exposure to underground, tunnelling, excavation or major civil or mining works highly regarded
• Strong field-based safety experience
• Relevant WHS/OHS qualifications
• ICAM experience highly regarded
• Practical, confident and comfortable engaging with workers on site
