About the Role
Be committed to the health, safety, and wellbeing of the workforce and customers in this permanent role impacting multiple retail sites in ACT.

As a Safety and Wellbeing Advisor, you will be instrumental in fostering a safer workplace and promoting holistic employee wellbeing. Leverage your expertise and passion for health and wellbeing to strategically guide processes and practices, ensuring the comprehensive wellbeing of employees. Collaborate with Regional Managers and the Operations team to champion and sustain a proactive safety culture throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialised support through Early Intervention and Return to Work (RTW) plans.
  • Support workplace safety incident investigations and implement effective controls enterprise-wide.
  • Ensure adherence to all injury management and return-to-work legislation guidelines.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce business-impacted injuries, workers’ compensation claims, and enhance RTW outcomes.
  • Analyse state incidents and trends, share insights, and contribute to corrective strategies.
  • Display flexibility, as travel to various sites and regional locations in ACT is required, with occasional weekend commitments.
About You and Your Skills:
  • Solid background in Workplace Health and Safety, behavioral psychology, and experience in an Allied Health environment is desirable.
  • Proven track record in managing return-to-work cases and crafting effective injury management plans, with a background in food retail, food manufacturing, or food safety.
  • Demonstrated success in a similar advisory role within a multi-site business.
  • Proficiency in managing workers’ compensation cases within an Insurer, Self-Insurer, Employer, or rehabilitation provider setting.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and influential communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver impactful results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.
