We're seeking a practical, site-focused WHS Advisor who enjoys being out on the floor, building relationships with operational teams and helping drive strong safety outcomes across high-profile project environments.
This is a hands-on role supporting warehouse automation installations and project delivery across Victoria and interstate as required.
About the Role:
Reporting to the National Project Manager, you'll work closely with project managers, supervisors and site teams to ensure safety remains at the forefront of every project.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting workplace inspections, audits and compliance activities
- Identifying hazards and undertaking risk assessments
- Reviewing and approving Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)
- Investigating incidents, near misses and hazards
- Implementing corrective actions and monitoring outcomes
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
- Supporting injury management and return-to-work processes
- Maintaining WHS documentation, records and reporting
- Providing practical WHS advice to operational and project teams
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across projects
We're looking for someone who is confident working autonomously on-site and can effectively engage with workers, supervisors and project stakeholders.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in a WHS Advisor, WHS Coordinator or Safety Advisor position
- Experience within construction, warehousing, logistics, automation, telecommunications or project-based environments
- Strong knowledge of hazard identification, risk management and incident investigations
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and compliance activities
- Ability to deliver inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to travel interstate as required (dependent on active projects)
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum requirement)
- White card
- Current Driver's Licence
- National Police check required
- Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor qualification
- Certificate IV Training & Assessment (TAE)
- First Aid qualification
