We have an exciting opportunity for a Work Health & Safety (WHS) Consultant in a Non-for-Profit organisation, where your impact will extend beyond compliance—helping protect and support diverse communities.
 
About the Role:
This role is based in Redfern, with some travel required to support various programs and divisions. You will work closely with leaders and teams across different locations, influencing and guiding them in managing critical WHS risks and implementing the WHS Management System. You’ll also provide training and specialist advice to foster a positive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support leaders and workers across various divisions in managing WHS risks.
  • Provide WHS guidance, deliver training, and ensure compliance with WHS regulations.
  • Assist with WHS projects and contribute to the national WHS strategy.
  • Participate in incident investigations and facilitate risk assessments.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Diploma in Work Health & Safety (WHS) or equivalent (mandatory).
  • Degree in WHS, Human Resources, or related field (desirable).
  • Proven understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and risk management principles.
  • Experience in conducting audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders across various teams and external bodies.
  • Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.
