A family owned and operated company, our client has grown from one small production line to presently supplying major supermarkets throughout the east coast of Australia. Reporting to the Operations Manager, they are seeking an experienced WHS Manager to join their close knit team.
The role will be responsible for collaborating with various sites to execute WHS initiatives whilst also dealing with key stakeholders. You will be responsible for building a positive safety culture by providing employees with the tools and knowledge to effectively "own" and manage the hazards in their workplace. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to auditing, hazard ID, risk assessment, incident investigation and procedure development review and Return to Work Coordination. A key focus of the role is to coach and educate employees to promote commitment to WHS at all levels.
With experience in food manufacturing, manufacturing or high risk environments, you will bring credibility through your knowledge and a track record of success in delivering improvements in safety performance. The key to your success in this role will be the ability to engage and influence employees at operational and management level. Formal WHS qualification and a valid drivers license are a requirement.
